Mii2's lower-end Stand model now competes in build quality with their flagship Mii2 2019 model

If you're in the market for a compact eScooter, you might have just hit gold.

Israeli eScooter company Mii2 has announced the launch of two brand new models coming in late 2019, with the biggest surprised being an update to the popular

Mii2 Stand eScooter. The new update to the line is a drastic departure from the old Stand model, and what we're seeing so far looks incredibly impressive for a lightweight eScooter. In fact, we were surprised that it was built to look so rugged!

Previous Models

If you've paid attention to eScootNews earlier this year, you probably saw our review of the Mii2 2019 eScooter, which to this day stands as one of our favorite eScooters that we've ridden yet. It is fully featured, and makes a city commute into an incredibly comfortable ride. This is no surprise however, as Mii2 has a history of making some really reliable scooters with great features, and they always manage to make their machines look attractive.

It Stands out.

The previous Stand model was a very simple eScooter, made for short trips around the city. Although very well-made, it wasn't as remarkable as the Mii2 2019 model. It was a very lightweight model where one of the best features was its' 9kg weight (19.8lbs). It had a nice dedicated app, full suspension, slightly smaller wheels, and a decent range of 25 miles at best. The new Stand however is a completely different beast.

You'll notice immediately the the build of this eScooter is drastically different than the previous. Already, we're seeing the beautiful stylings of the much higher end Mii2 2019 model showing up nearly everywhere in this scooter, including in the telescopic folding handle bars and the beautiful footboard. When riding the previous Stand model, I remember slightly smaller tires. Now, the updated stand model will have 8.5" tires with a front disc brake, and a rear drum brake- something that was not previously available on the last model. One very interesting thing to note is that the height of the scooter is now advertised as being "...20cm shorter than average" which might make this a great choice for those of us who are not quite as tell.

Coming in at 13.2kg/29.1 lbs, the weight of the machine has gone up, but so has the build quality. Part of the increase in the weight is due to the new frame being built out of 6061T6 Aluminum which carries a slightly heavier weight, but also offers fantastic structural rigidity.  The new Mii2 stand is powered by an LG battery which gives it:

  • a top speed of 15 mph
  • range of 20-30km (12-18 miles)
  • charge time of 5 hours

Although it's a bit heavier weight for a lower-end scooter, it's very much in competition with its' peers, but it has the advantage of offering a maximum weight for 100kg/220lb riders which is not typical for other scooters in this field.

Did You Know....

The Mii2 Stand made our list of the lightest eScooters available on the market? These are a great option if you're a rider that has a short commute or you want something that you can easily carry, if needed.

Extra Features

The new Mii2 stand has a few extra features that really round out a great design:

  • Available in four colors: Teal Blue, Lime Green, Black, Red
  • 13cm ride height
  • Running board LED lights
  • Newly-designed grips
  • Newly-designed LCD display

We're really looking forward to test-riding this eScooter later this year, and bringing you a full review video of the brand new Mii2 Stand eScooter. Continue to watch eScootNews.com for updates about more of the upcoming Mii2 product line.
