If you're anything like me, you enjoy a nice long and relaxing ride on your eScooter from time to time. I hadn't put that much thought into eScooter range, but recently I received an email on my site from someone asking if I could make recommendations for the best folding electric scooter based on range. There are a lot of things to consider when you're trying to figure out what the best folding electric scooter is, but sometimes range is overlooked. Why? Most eScooters are considered to be in a category for "first and last mile commuting". Although that's a great concept, there are many people who have now adopted eScooters as their only way of commuting in the area around where they live and work.

If you really want to learn about which eScooters may fit your riding mission best, head over to our Buyer's Guide and learn about what to look for when choosing an eScooter for yourself. Also, in the reviews section you'll find individual eScooter reviews. Our Youtube Channel also has a great selection of video reviews.

Instead of offering the idea of one eScooter to look at, I've compiled a list of some of the longest-range eScooters that are available on the market. What are your favorites? Make sure to leave us a comment at the bottom of the page.

It goes without saying that the Dualtron Thunder is one of the most intense eScooters on the market for any number of things. Firstly - and most important to this article - it has 75 miles of range! This is one of the most full-featured eScooters we've seen on the market, with a suspension system that can be modified for your personal taste, easily serviceable tires and wheels, a great LCD display (with optional fingerprint unlock), hydraulic brakes with ABS, and a good lighting package to make you more visible, day or night.

the Dualtron Thunder

The footboard on this scooter also sits a bit higher than many other scooters. Coupled with big tires, you'll have no problems with this scooter even if you wanted to go off-roading. The Thunder comes in 95 pounds, but you have should expect most scooters on this list with a lot of range to be a bit heavier.

If you want your own, you can buy it directly from MiniMotors USA for $3,799 or pay $123 per month.

the Dualtron III

Another fantastic offering from Minimotors USA, the Dualtron III comes in second in this list (actually, tied for 1st) for range at 75 miles. Similar to its' big brother the Dualtron Thunder, the Dualtron III has adjustable suspension, ABS brakes, an LCD display, easily serviceable tires and wheels and a great lighting package. Although still a bit heavier, the Dualtron III comes in 15 pounds lighter than the Thunder, at 80 pounds.

Seemingly, anything that comes out of MiniMotors USA is full-featured and high end.

Want your own? Head over to MiniMotorsUSA.com and you can pick one up for $2,969 or $97 per month.

I'm writing this list and starting to realize how many high performance products MiniMotors offers, and the Speedway 5 is yet another great model that fits into the category of Best Folding Electric Scooter for Range.

The Speedway V

Although not in the Dualtron family, the Speedway range has been known for quite some time for their great build quality, speed and range. The Speedway 5 is no different. Dual 3,600 watt motors, dual air spring suspension, easily serviceable wheels and tires, an LCD display and floorboard lighting- this scooter has great features at a great price. Not to mention, you're going to see 75 miles of range on this one as well. It also weighs less than the Dualtron eScooters, coming in at 70 pounds.

You can pick up one for yourself right here for $2,350 or $207 per month.

Falcon PEV Zero 10X

Falcon PEV has shown the eScooter world that it can create some of the best and most unique designs in the scooter world, thanks to a fantastic creative team and a want to create a solid, well-made product. The Falcon PEV Zero 10X is no different than the rest of their wonderful line of eScooters: Innovative, eye-catching, incredibly well-built, and priced perfectly against the competition. The most important thing? It does 68 miles on a single charge.

The Zero 10X has 10"x2.5" pneumatic tires coupled with a fantastic suspension system, front and rear disc brakes, two 1,000 watt motors and a choice of batteries. A serious contender with some of the Dualtron eScooters, this one comes in at $2,098.

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! If you're in the USA and want to order your own Falcon PEV 10X, you can do so through RevRides.com and use the coupon code "ESCOOTNEWS" and save 10% off of your purchase of the Zero 10X. Inokim is a company that has been innovating in the eScooter world for quite a while and is definitely here to stay. Why? They create new and innovative designs for eScooters in a chassis that is generally much lighter weight than a lot of the competition. The Inokim Ox checks off all the marks for a great eScooter with great range AND great features.

the Inokim Ox

In case you didn't know, we made a review of the Inokim Ox!

You've probably noticed that most of the rest of these long range eScooters on the list are super heavy, but not the Ox. It comes in at 60 lbs and you will still see 68 miles of range if you're operating in Eco Mode (according to Inokim's website).

If you're looking to pick up your own, the Ox comes in two variants for $1,699 and $2,099.

the EMove Cruiser

You can't beat the ability to get 62 miles of range for $1,399 in the eScooter world. Voro Motors comes to the table with their own offering of a long range eScooter called the EMove Cruiser. With such an excellent build quality and a great support team, this eScooter really delivers.

The scooter is packaged with front spring suspension and rear air suspension, disc brakes, and 10" tires that are able to handle uneven pavement with ease. All of the power comes from a single 600 watt motor, peaking at 1,600 watts. This scooter is an easy, economical choice for anyone who is looking for great range but doesn't want to spend a ton of money.

You can have your own for $1399 by heading to their website.

Currently available from UrbanMachina.com, The Evolv Pro eScooter makes this list at number 7 for best folding electric scooter for range. This thing is an absolute beast of a scooter for many riding styles.

Reaching speeds of 40mph, the Evolv Pro is capable of reaching 56 miles on a full charge and does so with a 1,000 watt motor, front and rear 140mm disc brakes, and great lighting. All of this is in a very sturdy package coming in at 77 pounds total weight.

the Evolv Pro

One of the more major advantages that most will overlook is Evolv's decision to use LG battery cells for this eScooter, which have shown in the past to have a much better battery life and many less defects than a lot of the Chinese battery cells used in many eScooters today. It also features an ignition key which we don't see that often so that you can have that one extra layer of security for your eScooter.

This is a really fantastic scooter that would be well worth your time, especially at the price point of $2,099 CAD (approximately $1,489 USD as of April 2020).

NanRobot D5+

Nanrobot has been producing a series of electric scooters for a few years now which can appeal to every type of rider. From 8" tires and simple machines to this 10" tire, all-out eScooter the D5+, Nanrobot has something for everyone.

Just in case you were looking for power, this one has two 1,000 watt motors, one for each of the 10" tires. It's fully capable of cruising at 40 mph for 50 miles of range. With their EBS braking system and 6 shock absorbers, you'll get both a fast and comfortable ride on this machine.

Want your own? You can find one on Amazon.com

NOTE: After a lot of comments about the Dualtron Spider after the initial release, Dualtron came out with a slight redesign of this model called the Eagle Pro which we've recently tested, and will be posting a video soon. Want an Eagle Pro? They're available for $2,290 or $213/month.

the Dualtron Spider

Straight from the MiniMotors website: "You asked for a lightweight, powerful electric scooter that is easy to take with you on the train and bus.  MiniMotors answer is the new Dualtron Spider!  Featuring all the great technology that is in the larger Dualtron Scooters, the Dualtron Spider has 3,000 watt BLDC magnesium alloy motors and carbon fiber handlebars to shave off the added weight.  44 pounds, 37 mile range, and a max capable speed of 37 miles per hour.  Nuff said!"

If anyone had any single complaint about a Dualtron product, it would only be about the weight. With the Spider, the weight was virtually cut in half in comparison with the Dualtron Thunder and the Dualtron III. You're still getting an incredibly sturdy chassis, a fast eScooter, and great range. This is an all-around winner in every category.

Typical with other Dualtron models, the suspension can be modified for your riding style and comfort, and it comes with an easy to use LCD display, and a great lighting package.

Want one for yourself? This winner of a scooter can be had for $2,450.

the Fluid Free Ride Horizon M

Most people know FluidFreeRide.com for their great WideWheel model of eScooter, but some people don't know that they offer a variety of other models to suit other riding styles as well.

Their model with the best range is the Horizon M, which is seeing 35 miles of range on a single charge. It has a simple front and rear suspension system and a 350 watt motor. Need your riding stats? They're on a nice easy to read display on the handlebars.

It even includes a charging port for your phone! It would be worth your time to check out this eScooter especially for the price: You can't beat an $899 scooter with a 35 mile range.
