Bird has now decided to directly sell eScooters to the public in addition to their current rental model, which currently serves 100+ cities across the world. Recently announced, the Bird One is available for pre-order on the Bird website. For $1299, you can buy into this higher-end scooter with some cool features including a 30 mile range and better acceleration.

- You can get your maintenance done by the Bird Service Center. For those of you who have bought any number of other brands of eScooters, one thing that we don't see that often is the ability to send your vehicle to a dedicated service center that is specialized. In addition to this, Bird is offering a 1 year warranty.
- Similar to their rental eScooters, the Bird One offers some anti-theft protection, where even the Bird Hunter Network can help to track down your eScooter should it be stolen. In the app, you can engage a digital lock and use the built-in GPS tracking.
- Bird is currently in 100+ cities. By purchasing the Bird One, you also get 20 free rides in their rental network at up to $5 per ride.
