I have to say that until very recently, I was not aware of the OneMile Halo City. Now it’s one of the things in the eScooter industry that has me the most excited.
The Red Dot Award is one with a lot of prestige behind it, and it takes a lot to win one: It’s only given to quality products with a good design.
If you’ve spent even two seconds glancing at the OneMile Halo City folding electric scooter, you can immediately see that it fits the criteria with ease. The sleek and sexy lines, the beautiful placement of lights, the attention to detail: These are things that set products apart from the rest of the crowd. The OneMile Halo City is an astoundingly gorgeous folding electric scooter.
What makes it so different?
Most would like at the Halo City and say, “That’s an ebike!”. Well, it sure does look like one, but I don’t see any pedals. What OneMile did was optimize the design of eScooters that included a seat and made it ergonomic to ride- and still made it foldable. Many other folding electric scooters include options for a seat, but they just don’t look right and a lot of them take away the concept of “the folding electric scooter” because you must bolt the seat and post to the body of the eScooter.
I also love the idea of a daytime running light. Safety is obviously a giant concern in our industry and this eScooter was designed with safety in mind. Also included are turn signals with a sound effect that lets those around you know that you’re about to make a turn. As well, this scooter looks like it should be a heavy one, but surprise- it’s not! It comes in at a mere 33lbs, which ways less than most scooters in its class. It’s got great range: Almost 22 miles. It cruises at a comfortable speed of 15mph. By the looks of it, this could be one of the best in its class for daily commuters.
Spoiler Alert!
Now the part I’m most excited to share: We’ll be doing a complete and thorough review of this folding electric scooter in April 2019 including video and you’ll be able to see this beautiful eScooter in action as we put it through a few tests.
EDIT: We did a review, and you can watch it in the video below.
